Beer Pong RULES!

Ok, for you non beer pong people, I just want to let you know how much you're missing out. Me and Will did pretty good tonight. We won the first round and BARELY lost the second. Both teams had one cup left and of course they won.... but have no fear - I'll get better. This is the first time I have played since we moved back. Get ready baby, cause here I come!! So tonight we went out to the Distillry for some good eats and then to Nathanial's for some hangin' out time. We found out that the good dart board has unlimited free games so we played Gotcha on the dart board a million and two times. :) It was totally fun. I had a blast. Now I just need to find a better job. I'm enjoying hanging out with friends again. Just gotta catch up with all of the girls I know around town. Despite the 30 and below temperatures I'm happy to be back. Better than living on the cliff where there are floods and possible land slides. My life is much less stressful right now.

P-nut is still doing fine with the weather. I think she handles the cold better than I do.

That's about it for now. ...oh yea - by the way we got like 8 plastic Nathanial's cups that have Labatt Blue on them to go with our Snuffy's cups. Go 50 cent drafts. Take that San Fran!!! The day they have 50 cent drafts I'll faint.

Off to bed.. peace out!

The Benevolent Ruler

So I did the other quiz thing that Sean did.. not sure what this means.. but this is what it said I am :

our distinct personality, The Benevolent Ruler might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. You are the idealistic social dreamer. Your overriding goal is to solve the people problems of your world. You are a social reformer who wants everyone to be happy in a world that you can visualize. You are exceptionally perceptive about the woes and needs of humankind. You often have the understanding and skill to readily conceive and implement the solutions to your perceptions. On the positive side, you are creatively persuasive, charismatic and ideologically concerned. On the negative side, you may be unrealistically sentimental, scattered and impulsive, as well as deviously manipulative. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

I'm 30?!?!?!?

Okay. So according to this what age are you thing that Sean had posted, I am 30 years old!?!?

You Are 30 Years Old
30

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Slackin' on the blogs!

So I will come right out and say it - I've been totally slacking on this blogger thing.

Sorry!!! :)

Sean and I have been super busy getting the apartment in order. All I am going to say is that you have to see this place. It is so huge and beautiful! We scored big time by finding this place.

That's all for now. I am hoping to take some pictures in the near future. Sean might do it too :)

Ciao!

Back to New York...

Okay, so some might say I've been a little slacker on this blog thing. Maybe this is true - but I've been a little busy these days. I just finally found a job working in a group home setting with developmentally disabled adults. I'd tell you how it's going but they've been pretty SLOW in getting in touch with me. I'm hoping thing are a smooth ride soon. Next Tuesday I go to the house for my first day training. Keep your fingers crossed. The job that I really want I applied for and haven't been able to see what's going on with that. I'm going to keep trying though.
The snow hasn't gotten to me yet but today it almost did. I thought I'd be nice and shovel and caught a tiny bit of frost bite! Luckily I could take care of it here and not go to the hospital. So now I know my gloves are officially for looks only! :P Sean and I have been out quite a bit and I love it. Hopefully this Saturday we'll hit up some beer pong at Snuffy's... anyone want to come? It'd be fun to take Marisa and Mika from Cali. but they're just a little to far to drive over and hang out :(.

I've been keeping in touch with the families I worked with at my last job. I miss the kids. I didn't realize how much a part of my life they were until we moved. But - enough soppy story stuff :P

That's about all for now. Oh - I picked out my wedding dress. Wanna see it?!?! TOUGH! :) I guess you'll just have to make yourself available September 17th for a view.
That's all for now.

Gettin' excited...

I'm getting pretty excited. My friend from Kindergarten (maybe even Pre-K), Nikki is moving out to the Fresno area. She'll be driving up from Los Angeles this next weekend with her boyfriend and they're going to come to Pacifica before they go to Fresno. I haven't seen Nikki since before Sean and I moved out here so it'll be nice to catch up. Can you believe we've known each other for 20 years? Damn it makes me sound old! Anyways - it's just a little something to look forward to. I love having company. :)

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to you all!!! May your 2005 be better than 2004. Anyone have any new years resolutions? Sean was asking me last night and I decided no resolution this year. I always forget mine after the first month... so why bother? I'll just keep with my trying to better myself day by day. It seems more practical. Anyways - hope you guys all had a blast!

Brrrrrrrrr...

Gosh I'm cold! How about my fellow east coasters... are you as cold as I am? I have my heat on and a blanket on top of the comforter on the bed. (Was that a lot of prepositions or what??? I deserve an award for that!)
Sean and I have been just hanging out. I'm house-sitting right now at this beautiful place in Hillsborough CA. It sits on the top of a big hill/mountain thingy and from most of the house there is a clear view of the San Francisco Bay. It is sooo breath taking. Maybe I'll take some pictures tomorrow and put them online in the future. You guys would love this place. I'd take this house in a heart beat if they handed the keys over. In the guest room they have a tempra-pedic mattress. Anyone else tried these out yet? MAN are they something else. If you haven't - strut yourself over to the mall and go into the expensive brookstone and lay down on one. They are worth every penny. I stayed there a few nights ago to keep the cats company and that bed was sooo hard to get out of in the morning. Too bad Sean couldn't try it out - he's too allergic :(.
Anyway - gotta hit the hay. I think I might work a little bit tomorrow. Supposed to have the day off but I might do a few hours just for the heck of it.

What are you guys doing for new years? Not sure what we're doing yet. Hopefully we'll go out and hang out with Marisa. We'll see!
G'night.

San Francisco Drivers are the WORST!!

Okay - so I'm driving down the freeway and everyone is going a nice, comfy 70 mph. Suddenly someone saw something on the side of road (most likely) or had an itch or something - and EVERYONE slammed on their breaks. I almost made a car sandwich with the car ahead of me! The worst part is - I was at least 3 car lengths away from the person ahead of me. People weave in and out of traffic like my grandma and her knitting. It's insane! No turning signals, no warning - just HELLO I'm in your lane now and you have to deal. Who gave these people driver's licenses? I want to know. I would love to see the driver's test here. They probably get in the car, drive around the block and the instructor says - welcome to the club! I don't get it. It doesn't help that most of the people who drive around are foreign and didn't get their license until they were over 30. I'm sorry - but when you learn something like that at that age you're probably not going to be as good as someone who learns it as a 16 year old kid.
So that's my rant for the evening.

Damn I'm lazy!

Okay I will be the first to admit how bad I've been about this blog thing. Atleast I'm consistent in my laziness. So Sean's been the big blog-poster and I'm sure it will stay that way. Nothing really too new and exciting. Christmas is on it's way. I'm looking forward to going to midnight mass with Sean and my great aunt Esther. Haven't been in a really long time and I always enjoyed it... well does falling asleep count? The music is just so calming and with candles lit and all... you know what I mean, right? That should be fun. On that note I'm going to go to bed. If I do not post for another month, I wish you all a very merry Christmas. God bless you all. :)

Gettin' lazy!!!

So I haven't been posting as often as Sean so I thought I might want to get on and leave another boring and lifeless post. Well - not really... I've just been so busy. My old woman cross-stitch project is coming to an end and so maybe then I'll post more frequent - don't count on it though. :P I'm sure I'll find something else old lady like to replace it! (Sean just farted while I was writing this fyi)... Anyway - that's been the extent of my excitement while I'm here at home. I went wedding dress shopping the other day though :-D I'd say more but Sean reads this so I guess you all just can't hear about my hot pink wedding dress!! Oops.. I guess I slipped.

I'm looking forward to our trip back to NY. Can't wait to play some beer pong and go to all the good night spots. Get ready guys - it'll be like two sips this time and I'll be saying "Guess what.....I'm DRUNK!!!" HAHA that will be exciting.

That's all for now- keep it real and think about posting on your own blog site again.. Eh hem.. you know who you are!!!

Wedding planning

So now that we've been engaged for a few weeks I've been thinking a lot. Still fine tuning the when and where factor which leaves a lot of other things still way up in the air. Hopefully once I get a chance to chat with my parents this will all go smoother.. I can hope right? I hear that it just gets more stressful. My goal is to stay as focused on the happy things and enjoy my engagement. Hopefully my good attitude will prevail. And when it doesn't woefully Sean will be there to give me a nice back rub. :) (I love you Sean!!!) So that's all for now. I'm off to a nice relaxing evening with him now.... Hope you all are having a great weekend!

New jeans

Okay - so this is probably such a trivial post but I like being trivial :-P.

With that said, I went out tonight and got a new pair of jeans. I have been putting this off way too long. My other jeans have a patch, a hole and a soon to be second hole in them. So now I'm back to having a pair of normal jeans!!

You men out there have it made. You know your size, and unless you grow, and have no problem just picking up the pants and buying them. You don't even really need to try them on most of the time!
Us girls have it harder. Size 8 can be tiny or HUGE on me... never just right. I feel, as a hippy girl - and I'm referring to the bones - that it's soooo hard to find a pair of pants that fit me right.

But needless to say I found a pair... can I get a HALLELUJAH?!?!?

Goin to the chapel.... :)

So I think I've told everyone I can possibly think of but I feel as if there must be someone I've forgotten. Because, as you all know, I am so forgetful. My happiness and excitement just keeps growing. Everyday I am so amazed by that. Now the plans begin... which for me is really exciting. But then again I am the MOST INDECISIVE person in the world. And Sean isn't much better. At least we both knew we wanted to marry each other and didn't say "you decide..." "no you decide..." LOL.! Now I'm just rambling. I feel this post is just so belated but I've been spending so much time just calling everyone. Wish me luck in the planning. I'm going to try to keep on top of things to make it easier for myself.

That's it for now. Thank you Sean, for making me happier than I ever thought I could be. I love you!

Here's Alexander's father - Mike.

Here's Lynn as a new mom with auntie Kim checkin' out the little one.

My newborn nephew... isn't he adorable?

Welcome Alexander Chase!

First off - this is just a picture of a random baby.. not Alexander. :) Isn't he cute though? Anyway - I'd like to announce that at 3:33am on October 24th Alexander Chase was born. He is Mike (my brother) and Lynn's first baby! Please join me in welcoming him and congratulating Mike and Lynn. I'll post real pictures as soon as Mike sends me some.

Halloween costumes anyone?

So I thought I'd just ask everyone out there what they're dressing up as this halloween. I'm not sure what I'll be... Sean has a great idea I think we might do but I'll let him do the explaining :). And for all you lazy folks out there who don't dress up... BAH HUMBUG!

Telemarketers... :)

To all you telemarketers out there - LEAVE ME ALONE!!! Does anyone else get annoyed with them? I can't think of anyone who picks up the phone and says "Hey hon - the telemarketer is on the phone... can I get this one? I love when they call." NO!! Just so everyone knows - I'm not angry. I just laugh at them. I've found a way to have the upper hand with them. Let's see if anyone can top this one. When they start talking I just say "Can you hang on just one sec?" Then I put the phone down - end of story. Today I did that and went back after a minute to check and the guy was still sitting patiently for me to return. I checked a few more times and still - he was waiting nicely. I didn't say a word! After 5 minutes he hung up. How's that for the stupid companies. They just paid that guy for 5 minutes of sitting waiting for me to come back to the phone. Maybe they'll stop calling me now! Yea right. Well as long as they keep calling I'll just keep doing the same thing and I advise you do the same :).
