The "Ashley Treatment"

I think this is something that is really interesting. I can honestly say I do not know what I would do if this was me... but I understand both sides. Having experience with children and adults with developmental disabilities has really shown me a lot. Take some time to read about Ashley's story.

I'm interested to hear other people's opinion. I'll give more of an opinion once you read this!

Interesting read for sure, I'm not really sure how to take it. I guess there's only one thing I can say for sure with out sounding like an insensitive asshole, of which I'm certainly capable of.

Stories like this make me wonder if we as a human race has gained too much medical knowledge to assist and keep life that is not meant to be kept. I guess I don't understand why you would want to do so much to keep your baby alive when it will always be a baby and is not capable to amount to anything and grow.

Hope I said that ok and you don't think I'm an ass. Maybe they should get a cat :)

hail Hitler! I guess we have been welcomed to the aryan race. seriously maybe we should go back to getting rid of the weak and elderly too. Only the strongest and fit survive right? Can you honestly say that if you had a child that had a condition you would not help him/her to survive? Ignorance like that amazes me. I'm not being mean, I'm just astounded by the insensitivity.

maybe you should get a dog :)

I certaily would not want ot live like that, and I would not want to burden my family and friends to live with me like that. I would throw in the towel.
